There's some class photos taken by Audrey Dujardin of WinterNoise.

Seems to be a bit of favouritism in  the subject matter, but sure who's counting...? :)

End of Year PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 29 January 2009

Well it has been a good year for all in the Mael Mordha Camp, if not a busy one. Between work, family, new babies and other commitments it can be hard to get away to gig and write new material. We have been fortunate however and sailed many a sea to bring our music to the people of Greece and London supporting our fellow brothers Primordial. We also ventured to Way of Darkness Festival, Germany, Cernunnos Pagan Fest, France and Winternoise Festival, Germany. We got a fantastic reaction from all and had a great time meeting so many people along the way.

Our future journey is unknown. As of today we no longer have our own studio for rehearsals. It was bound to come to an end at some stage, Still when we got the news it was like a kick in the teeth. So it's back to concrete bunkers at extortionate rates for now until we find some thing new. A big thank you to Cathal and Pearse for putting up with the noise for the last number of years. For the short term we will put the final touches to the writing of our new album. Once that is recorded we will continue writing between gigs so as not to loose the memento. There will have some snippets on line in the coming months along with some artwork and competitions. So watch this space.

Looking to the future, who knows. But be sure that we will hit the high seas over 2009 to play some more dates in Europe in support of the new album. We also have plans for a home town show, the first in 2 years with some interesting ideas for the line up.

A big thanks to Crunch and everyone who helped, supported and encouraged us in 2008. Most of all thank you for coming to our shows...You must be mad!!

Wednesday, 05 November 2008

Cernunnos Pagan Fest which we are delighted to be a part of will be taking place on Saturday the 20 December, organised by Les Acteurs De L'Ombre which are a non profit organisation. They have been putting on shows all over France for many years, mainly in Paris.

Cernunnos Festival which is in its third year now will be accommodated in the La Locomotive in Paris.

A selection of bands that will appear this year are Obtest, Melechesh, Black Messiah, Waylander, our brethren, and 12 other acts. As of yet we are unsure of the time we will be hitting the stage but we will be sure to let you know.

Other events to keep one occupied between bands are Jeux Barbares which offer entertainment and barbarous games such as arm wrestling and sword fighting...It's all about steel, muscles, beer and philosophy.

La Magician Fred Ericksen will provide jugglers, storytellers and conjourous with enchanters and wizards plenty, all that were common place in medieval times.

Tan Elleil and Broille art companies will join the party to share unforgettable moments. Fire dancing, stilt walking and music will all invite you to travel through the pagan, folk, Celtic and tribal times.

There will also be a Medieval banquets for all you gastronomical fiends.
